I see that there is a nice writeup in there already on this but an updated parts number TFI/MIU upgrade version would be sweet. I went to Advance Auto looking for the parts numbers listed (parts #'s FR121, FR106 only yielded results for a Wells Vehicle Electronics Pickup coil and FR109 got no results at all).
Also, all years of F150 that this would apply to would be helpful (since the I6 300's were introduced in '65, '78 114hp then early '80s 122hp, then went FI in '87- guessing late '70's- mid '80's would work) and does it matter if it's 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive? And the options of coils listed would be nice and what ones are best and what ones to avoid (if applicable).
Oh and do we need to worry about cams? All this would be helpful I think in the wiki... especially for the ones that are not as mechanically inclined.

Great suggestion. Advance was selling GP Sorenson parts when that was written. Then they changed to BWD. I have a BWD adapter in the box and it is C193AP. Time for some more research.

I see in another TFI article that the author used a 79 Ford F150, 300 cid straight 6 as the reference vehicle. I then checked at RockAuto and found a boatload of choices. I see the old adapter number is one of their closeout specials along with some caps.

Chapter 3C from the TSM covering Instrument Panels and Components has been added to the How To Section.
