Nice! Wonder why the Eagle got #2 billing? With 4x4 it's better than the FWD Toro/Caddy

Great find. I have the Eagle outa storage but we haven't had enough snow yet. Otherwise, this year it enjoyed a bunch of car shows.

Carnuk, that's what I said on the other thread where this was posted.

Haha I own a '66 Olds Toronado, so I've got the number one and number two spot on the list.

I want to add a tunnel to the Toronado and maybe lift it 3 inches by putting the new rear axle under the leaf spring instead of over. The original TH425 transmission is essentially a front axle and TH400 cast together, so removing it and putting a normal TH400 gives plenty of room for a front axle. The control arms already have a CV shaft. The whole assembly will easily slide down to match the new rear axle height. The car has disc brakes in the front from a newer Toro. I already have an Olds 455 V8 (the orignal one is a 425) and a BOP pattern 4WD TH400 from a Jtruck ready for the project. It will be painted black with subtle Batman insignia.

Here is a different Toronado used for Rally Racing. This picture was taken in the late '60s.
