Hoping to get some work done tomorrow. Get the bad brake cable removed, probably change the front left shaft especially since it's up on stands now.

a very good idea is to remove the fuel tank and hose the underside of the trunk floor with bedliner or shit ton of ruberized undercoating cause that's a fun place for moisture and dirt to acumulate and start rusting

Just an FYI, but changing the front axle while on wheelstands is okay, but it's much harder on axle stands. :blah: Just sayin'

Was not swapping the axle currently. Just the CV's.
I also am in the process of looking at a T-5 from an 83 Eagle listed on Car-part.com. Recycler says they have it shipped for about 350 total.. they are going to drop the pan and check it and let me know if it has shifter and such..

Doesn't sound bad for $350 if it was removed good and working..Especially if it has a shifter..

Been dead in the water lately. Bought some basic tools I've been needing though.
Jack stands, Jack along wityh a breaker bar and Torque wrench..Hoping Wednesday to get the drive shafts dropped, tCase removed, and the seats out.
Cherokee still sits there waiting on a trip to get stripped.
Thought I had a trade waiting to get me a NP242 but not likely now.
Really trying not to spend money on anything not needed to get her running and in the dry.

Good idea! Penny is supposed to be on the way to the exhaust shop tomorrow. I hope it will be finished by the end of the month!

Just saw captspillane post on HHaase's Rally project and looked at an AX15. Locally there is 1 for $400. Being I have a 231 in my possession may be an easy swap. Wish I could trade out my AW4 for an AX15..

You should really look for a better deal on the trans. I got mine for $300 and that included everything from the pedal set down to the transfer case, plus the flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate.
