Trust me. If I'm in charge we'll figure something out that everyone can agree on and we'll make it our own and hopefully have a good turn out each and every month. Heck we have 22 current. That's pretty good. And for two rides that definitely aren't SHOWROOM! ;)

Edit: I hadn't checked the new current EOTM thread. I see we now have 24 votes....and still tied! :)

Initially, others were supposed to nominate cars. As time went on this was not happening so it got to the point owners could nominate their own car. Best of the best and even general nominations usually went to a Kammback or SX/4, even when there were much better looking sedans and wagons. Yes, win once in a year and your car was done for another year. The reason we went to themes was to allow all body styles a chance. IIRC the best voting was when Kyle competed with a few others for the most distressed Eagle. That was a very popular theme.

Well I see there is a ride of the month Section of the forum now...I guess I'm in charge of it. I'll try to start a thread today about how we should nominate and get suggestions for themes.

That sounds like a good section for BlackBird. Don't think it'll fit in any of the beauty contest sections for sure.

Well I am glad that everyone seems to agree with that. Maybe maddog and I should both be winners, and have a double-frame of both our cars, and call it "distressed drivers" or something like that. Neither of us had a hope in hell on that other forum, but it's nice that we finally have a chance here.

I would also like to suggest if you won - Say last year for "4-door eagles" - You can't be nominated again for that category again - That's it, you won, and yer done. If you want to be nominated again, it has to be a different category, or a different car.

That way, we don't see the same car over and over for say, July's eagle every year.

I mean, c'mon... if you've won, isn't that enough? Let everyone have a fighting chance here.
