We need a new tech forum section for non-standard parts and repair tricks.

A lot of the old AMC stuff is hard to find, so a forum dedicated to parts from other vehicles that would fit, or tricks to get things going again, would be great...a compendium of non-standard parts and fixes :D

Like how 1984+ S10 cv axles work, and Ford F150 wiper switch swap, Javelin springs adding lift, and so on. I'm positive that there's a tonne of ghetto fixes that people could list too.

Would be a solid addition to the Garage forum list.

That is a good idea. Especially as these cars age and re-engineering becomes more and more essential. I would like to see a good how to, to add subframe connectors to assist in keeping the integrity of the aging unibodies. Your HEI upgrade is also a good one to have in there.

The aftermarket HEI really brings all the Eagles to the yard ;)

My RPM's are consistently low, it's awesome. Even at 110KM/Hr they are sitting at about 2300RPM, which is less than my wife's Dodge Journey!

i have a hack on putting 2000 mustang gt disk brakes on 2wd amc's. not sure how it would work on an eagle tho, as the spindles are different.

and so with that, you could go any direction you wanted with the size of brakes, wheels ect.

Maybe call it Modified Tech? I'm thinking about '96 Grand Cherokee front brakes on mine, but the caliper mounts are the hard part. The 8.25 I'm putting in has multiple braking systems available (I'm not big on rear discs) up to 11 5/8" x 2 1/2" drum
