mudkicker, just a forwarning on those triton motors!!! i work at an idipendant auto repair shop and have to fix SEVERAL. those motors like to blow plugs out. when they do that, the coil is destroyed with it. you have to have a special tool to rethread the block, put in a special insert and swedge it into the block. SOME inserts call for a different plug that the rest of the cylinders. for some fuckin reason, it seems like its ALWAYS the far rear cylinder on the right bank. the one thats back behind the heater box and all the other shit in the worst place to get to so you cant make DAMNED sure your going STRAIT in the damned hole!!! anyway, good luck with that nagrivator/agrivator. o, and the sensors for them damned air bags are WELL known for going out, and cost about $250 or so to replace. so if you have the air bag suspension, either get rid of the thing, or start saving money to buy the coil spring conversion. it runs around $1200 or so iirc.

as for the car show shit, i have taken honey badger to a show or two without washing. if you have seen any pictures, the body/paint are FAR from even decent. beat up, dents, dull paint ect. but a lifted 4x4 2 door hatchback with mud on it? hell, it sure creates a buzz and LOTS of questions of "why lift and 4x4 a delorean/mustang/ect." then the dumbing down and explaing happens. or you get the know it all that starts talking about how eagles where nothing but either an afterthough toss together of left over parts, or something about the dumbest idea ever. well, i think that dumbest idea ever is what about 70% of the vehicles i see/work on now days is. CROSSOVER SUV BULLSHIT now days tho.

I'll probably take the sedan to a few cruise nights this year, I've taken the jeep to a jeep show, so why not?

Dash clock works perfectly in the SX, the sedan, not so much.

Never had a clock problem in any of them. Yours is acting really weird. Almost like no power getting to it at all, except when you have the parking lights on???????? I will have to study the schematic to maybe figure out why.

 I had a few chevettes over the years ..... My first car was a 1980 no option, second car was my dad's hand me down 82 diesel, a 1984 2 door "CS" replaced the diesel when I couldn't find a flywheel (never let anyone barrow your car that can't drive a manual that parts are so damned hard to find), the last chevette i ever owned was a VERY well optioned 86 (automatic, A/C, power windows and locks).

I used to always use the line on the ladies "wanna go for a ride in my vette" ...... most of the time it got me as far as the parking lot

it does seems like it does get power only when the lights are on. ive had it work a few times on a hot day though, then it will work until the key is shut off.

OK, so it resets itself whenever the key is in the off position, no matter the temperature? Do other accessories work that normally work when the key is off?

everything else works normally. I have a manually tuned radio but there is power to the electrically tuned hookups full time. id say the clock is just screwed up. if I ever have the dash apart I will chase it down more
