The 8.25 is a good axle. Just remember you need 3.54 gears up front not 3.55's. I used the Eagle cables when I installed the 8.25 in mine.

If you have 3.55s in back you can match with the front, go 3.54 or even 3.50, but any more than that will fry the viscous coupler. You definitely want to match or go higher (smaller numerically) than the rear or the back end will push the front all over the road. 1.5% is the max difference, so 3.5 times .015 = .525 maximum ratio difference, so 3.50 is pushing it a bit.
You want the taller ratio in front so it PULLS you around the corners.

Plan on changing front to 3.54. Also if I'm looking right makes a T-5 feasible. With the larger tires and 2.73 gears my estimates of RPM's was off at 75mph. If estimates are correct this should give me good RPM's and a 4.0 or Stroker should be in great shape.
