LOL! Several different 307s are out there. The Chev 307 was the 283 block with 327 crank. The Zapper 302 was 327 block with 283 crank for high revs.

I feel like I might be missing a few...

My SX/4 (bonus would be w/ 4.0 head, sas)
Nissan NX
Infiniti FX45
AvtoVAZ Lada Niva
Isuzu Vehicross
Ford F350 7.3PS 4x4 cc srw (9th gen or 6th gen)
IH Scout II or 800
Ford Maverick 5.0 Grabber
Ford Mustang Mach 1 ('71 w/scj)

My "wouldn't mind" list:
AMC Kammback
Geo Metro convertible
Nissan Juke
DeLorean DMC-12
Suzuki x90 4x4
Jeep Wrangler YJ
Buick Grand National

I have noticed that I somehow (not intentionally) seem to be drawn towards vehicles that were only made a few years.

I think I need to sell a few that I have, would be nice to have a gas sipper.
And it would be nice to be down to 3 cars and 1 parts vehicle.

Love the looks of these vehicles. Love to have 1 in my driveway for family outings.

So is the 307 found in some Chevys an olds engine? I haven't seen any renaults appear yet, has anyone else seen any on the forums?

Yes and/or no, depends on the era, in the early 70's ch*vy made a 307 (junk mush block), in the early 80's to 1990 Olds made a 307. Both were were worthless boat anchors (Olds 307 has a little potential with enough money thrown at it). Many mid to late 80's caprice's had an olds 307 between the rails. Many People were deceived by the 5.0 designation, as it shared the label with the ch*vy 305, (even more of a useless junk mush engine).

Let's see, weve got a resident GM expert (shagg), AMC expert (Doug) and a jeep expert. (carnuck). All we need is a ford expert, and a mopar expert and we will be set.

I worked for the Ford Dealer as a tech (everything old and non-Ford was what I got) and I grew up with Hemi and big block Mopars and LOTS of AMCs. SBCs suck (I killed 17 in one racing season) and Mazda rotary only goes with a turbo!
