Could have been modded by AMC engineers though. They saved the Cryco bacon on their truck lines.

Notice, when chryco got involved, the amc inline got less reliable and less bulletproof as time went on. Coincidence? We think not. :amc: GM's worst enemy is themselves, every time they create something great, they find a way to screw it up. IMO the best car GM ever made (don't judge me), was the early 90's Pontiac 6000's with a 3.1, they were nothing more than a lame, boring commuter, but, they just plain worked. They were gm's cherokee. :blazin:

yet they manage to improve the sbc. I think chryco will eventually disappear, if jeep goes with it, only time will tell. they are to the amc Renault stage now. fiat is sticking more of their cars into the market than Chrysler cars. soon someone will buy fiats share of Chrysler to kill Chrysler.

Correction, the aftermarket improves the sbc. A proof to this, look at the F.A.S.T. class cars, for a long time a Buick (yes your grandfathers cruiser) was at the top of the totem pole utilizing modified FACTORY parts.
