Well this is a change.

I know how those counter jockeys at the parts stores usually give us a good laugh because they have no idea what an Eagle is...or even AMC! Today though I had the most random/awesome coincidence. Let me just jump into it.

To start off I was actually there to see if they have impact wrenches for rent. I'm working on some stuff with my Festiva. Anyway one of the guys that works there is actually the guy that bought my motorcycle off me and allowed me to have the money to purchase the SX/4. So we talked about his motorcycle and my SX/4 and how it was stranded in Kansas City. As I we were walking up to the counter toward another employee he mentions I should rent a car hauler and get it back here. The other employee over hears and tells him, "Why would you rent a car hauler when you know several people with trucks and trailers?" So this peaks my interest and I say, "Oh really, would any of them be up for an almost 500 mile round trip to pick up a car?"

Anyway, I won't go through the whole conversation, but it ends with him having a truck and 14 foot trailer and is already going to Kansas City next weekend to go home for the July 4th weekend. He'd be happy to help me out and will only ask that I pay for gas for his return trip to Rolla when he's hauling my car home!

The details aren't worked out yet, but like a young man hitting on a waitress I asked for his number and he wrote it down on my receipt! :)

Hoping this works out!

There are still some great people out there. Are you sure he is not a closet AMC'er since he seems to be such a decent guy?

Eric, if you are in town we might need help getting the Eagle on the trailer. Not sure if he has a come a long or what..more details I need to discuss. The guy did know what an Eagle was, but he want like overly excited when I told him that's what it was. We did talk about Festivas a bit.

Electric impact gun is $35 at Harbor Freight. Not strong enough for a production shop, but I've used mine for 2 years now.

I live in a small town. No Harbor Freight. AutoZone did have a 60 impact wrench. It was a 200ft/lbs one...what's the size of yours?
