Since I started this thread, I think I will add a rule. One song at a time, otherwise the pages get really crowded

Viking metal is oddly popular on site here recently

I'm in the mood for something a little different today, here's an odd mashup I've been listening to

I'm going to date myself here....

There was a special (read beg-a-thon) on public television last night featuring Judy Collins. She is one of what some call the singer-songwriters. This group included everyone from Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow to Carole King and Joan Baez. Many of them were also political/social activists, usually for politically liberal causes. They tended to be lumped together with the folk singers like Peter, Paul and Mary, but Collins is so much more.

Collins' signature song is "Send In The Clowns". She performed this song as the finale in her program. This song was my introduction to Judy Collins and remains my favorite. It brought back strange and sometimes wonderful memories of a time in my life that, without going into details, is best described as mentally wandering without a clear sense of direction, but also surviving. :eagle:

Actually, she did a bang up job on covering Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now". Judy's version is much better. That's my fav from Judy.
