Ok, I posted this on the Eagle's nest, and I want to put it here. It would be awesome for people to share this info, since hardly anything is made in NA. I feel we should support locally made products.

Well-made products that are still made in North America. Sold in NA but made in China, Vietnam, india, phillipines, :blah:

Like don't post, "I used to like Craftsman, but they're not made in USA anymore" Post something that still IS made here.

I mean post a product you really love, that is only made in the good ole' USA, or actually made in Canada.

Here's my two:

Danner Boots - Made in Portland Oregon. these boot are still made in the USA. They are the only boots I buy, and I've been buying danner boots since 1990.

Grohmann Knives Limited - Made in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have a few of their knives (for hunting as well as kitchen knives), and they rock. Beautiful and well-made.

P.S. We already have a beer post...

I might need some help. I miss seing the made in USA mark on the car doors. You can open just about any 8? And earlier mopar and it will say made in USA on the label. I can open the door on the eagle and it will have made by American motors Canada on the tag. Not so sure about ford or gm, the molars stand out though. I believe some of snap on's tools are still made in the us

http://www.hitthebreakroom.com/ is Danner's cheap shit site. They regularly have good deals on Danner boots.

As far as Brands go, I don't know. I buy almost all my shit used off of craigslist. I figure if it was good enough to last someone else a good while, it oughtta be good enough to last me. And there's that 'this shit is cheaper than new' aspect too.

3M masking tape, I'm a cheapskate, but I'll spend the extra coin on 3M tape over china shit any day, there is a world of difference. Made both in USA, and Canada, btw.

Recent note, I was pleasantly suprised when I opened the replacement front wheel bearings for the eagle, and "Timken Made In USA" was stamped in them 8-) .

Collinite wax, made in Utica, NY. It's all I use when it comes to the cars. I even did the sx/4's black interior with it, turned out stellar.

Well worth the extra money.

My Jeep Patriot, except for the CVT transmission (Mexico), was built in the US. Of course I have no idea on what parts may have been sourced from outside of NA.

Good for NAPA! I wonder if there were beginning to be too many warranty issues?

I copied this...

ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY!
With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read label at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products.
Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located.
It is important to read the bar code to track it's origin.
How to read Bar Codes .... interesting!
This may be useful to know when grocery shopping, if it's a concern to you.
GREAT WAY TO "BUY USA & CANADA " AND NOT FROM CHINA!!

The whole world is concerned about China-made "black hearted goods".
Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or China ?

If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA.
471 is Made in Taiwan .
This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the
public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves.

Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN CHINA", so they don't show from which country it is made.

However, you may now refer to the barcode - remember if the first 3 digits are:

690-692 ... then it is MADE IN CHINA
00 - 09 ... USA & CANADA
30 - 37 FRANCE
40 - 44 GERMANY
471 ... Taiwan
49 ... JAPAN
50 ... UK

BUY USA & CANADIAN MADE by watching for "0" at the beginning of the number.
We need every boost we can get! Pass this on to everybody on your E-Mail Contact List!!

If the government won't help us, we MUST help ourselves.
