I just thought of the name I want my car to be. When I first got it I wanted to call it America. ha, but that didn't fit. Then I was listening to this NPR piece and this kid was saying all these funny derogatory names like skip-skap and skallywag. So I decided to name it skallywag which worked but was missing something. Then last night I was sitting around thinking and the epiphany happened. Skallywagon! Yes! A portmanteau, I love those, it's when you combine 2 whole words skallywag and wagon. Perfect. The skallywagon.

How'd yours come about?

The "deer slayer" is the SX/4. The Concord is simply "Connie".

My wagon is called Pepper. I had a beat up ol 81 F100, & when I got my Eagle, even with all the emissions crap, feedback carb, etc, she still had more "pep" than my truck. So, Pepper. : )

well Eagle Eyes was just some thing that kind of popped into my head while whatching james bond movies :lmao: and playing need for speed. as for Survivor she was a garage find and the name seemed apropriate as she is in pretty decent shape.

It had the inline 6 with a 4 speed manual trans, 2wd. Never did like to idle when it was warm, but otherwise it ran well.

I call my 84 Sedan the Red Headed Step Child, it was beaten, tortured, and basically left for dead (stolen), it was found, then cobbled, and left for dead again, I went to retrieve it with every intention of parting it out (having heard of its past). As I was tieing it down, etc, I noticed how clean the underside was, I decided to save it :blazin: . The gf who was very displeased when I said, I'm going to fix it :sly: , still makes fun of it, even though it has proven itself as a worthy car, so I guess the name kinda makes sense.

The SX/4, doesn't have a real name, but I refer to it as the chick magnet every now and then, lol. I don't really think I have to explain that one :queer: .
