Very creative. Looking forward to a How To with pictures for the EVO Wiki.

I don't recall the years but Cherokee wiper arms can replace ours...and they have the more convenient J hook style wiper adapter. The stab style from the Eagle can be a pain in the butt! I think it was like '95+ Cherokees.

XJ cherokee wiper arms are perfect replacements for eagle ones - Around the same year. they have an actual lock tab So they won't come unclipped. Also they have either the hook blade retainer or the pin type.

Dean and I were in a junk yard, and I went around trying various wiper arms on an eagle that was there. Even some same year ford escorts will fit, slightly different length, but still can be used.

I know I did a video of it, but I can't find it just yet.

Thought I'd spark up a thread for alternative replacement parts. Over time I'll edit the main post to make searching for that odd part simple.

- Mechanical Carter as a alternative to the Carter BBD and Motorcraft 2100. Works excellent, easy to find to boot.

According to Gronk, the 2150 is the better choice. I've never tried the 2100, but I have a 2150 on my eagle. works pretty good.

Kirsten had a '87 eagle, and it had a rochester 4 barrel carb on her dad's car. Seemed to run really well. I don't know what model number carb it was.

That's it, I'm just going to start spelling your name Jraed from now on, at least until you get mine right. Image hahaha I had an 83 with a 2bbl Holley, dad's 87/88-ish (I always forget which it is) has a 4bbl rochester/quadrajet. When I get back out there, I'll try to remember to take a pic of the numbers on it so someone can ID it.

Sorry! How do you spell it? I thought it's Kristen. Is it Kristan? Kristian? I don't know.

Some days I wonder if I'm even saying it right...

Kirsten, pronounced curse-ten. It's funny, because you usually /say/ it right, but you just can't seem to spell it right. : P To be fair, I answer to pretty much anything, so long as it's polite. Hell, with the Jeep club, I answer to Silver or Eagle more often than my proper name.

I didn't know your name but when you talked about spelling I was thinking Kirsten. I sometimes have to clarify with a friend and ask who they are talking about their buddy Kristen or Kirsten..

It was really bad for about a year, when I was dating this one guy. He's two older brothers, the middle brother was dating a Kristen, then I came along, so the youngest brother was dating a Kirsten, then the eldest started dating a Crystal. People started giving up & just referring to us by which brother we were dating. lol

OK, now back to the alternative parts...

I've found that the 87 xj/mj uses basically the same power window switch as our eagles. The knob part is slightly different, and I am not sure about later or earlier models though. They are a bit more plentiful than eagles though

I've been told that the rear sway bar is the same for the eagle from 80's XJ's

Some of you may have noticed that on the stroker motors from the VAM AMC's, they used a motorcraft 2200.
