I already know the answer. im waiting to get mpg #'s still, as I finally got 4x4 working, and other little crap done. now I can get tags on the car and get mpg #'s. I know how it drives on the highway, pulling hills, ect.

anyone not knowing what a 1405 is, its an edelbrock 500 cfm 4bbl carb. I think it will be interesting to hear peoples thoughts. ;-)

Cool, let us know how it goes. I'm guessing there is some sort of an adapter for this to fit the Eagle intake?

2 bbl to 4 bbl adapter. Don't know if Gronk is back up running again, but I like what I saw of his design.

I've seen shag used an offenhouser 4 barrel intake on a 4.0. I hope it turns out well, as I'm thinking of trying something like that someday.

I have the factory 2bbl intake. found a craptastic mr. gasket 2bbl to 4bbl adapter in some of my junk. had a spare 1405 edelbrock sitting on the shelf. eh, why the hell not. I have a jet kit for my 1407 on my drag car. I put in the smallest primary jets and matching needles. and my next smallest jets with matching needles for secondaries. it runs GREAT right now. the thing about an edelbrock, the primary side is smaller than a 2150 on cfm flow. the secondary is an air valve, so it will only open when vacuum is great enough that the primary circuit cant keep up. so it only gives all the engine asks for. if one wasn't having the secondaries opened all the time (not running wot all the time) it SHOULD act about as well as my 2150 when I had the 4.2 in still. I hope to see around 16-20 mpg. that stupid adapter had some small holes that overlapped the gasket/mounting pearch, so I had to fill them with some epoxy. everything is sealed good right now. its real responsive and you can feel the air valve open when on throttle hard.
