I went ahead and put on my Carter's electric choke on my 2150 but the choke wont seem to disengage. Any time I hit the throttle the choke snaps shut and it goes into high idle. Is this because the Carter's choke coil contracts when heated or is this because of a vacuum leak throwing off the choke pull off? Or something else?

I may be wrong but I thought the carter choke worked oppisite of the stock carb.

Yes, you have to pop the spring off and turn it around.
