you just got to check resistance between the 2 contacts on the outside where the pos and neg connect. I forget what the resistance is, but I can get it for you.

I checked resistance between the wire and the contact it connects to on the choke thermostat and there was no reading. I checked resistance between the wire and the actual metal choke horn and it was the correct 3.8 ohms or so.
