I found an ad on Mn CL that has 85 wagon parts Ok cool So I send this doofus a text and explain that I have 4 Eagles and am in the market for some parts. And the poster promptly stops communicating with me. I give it a couple days then try again only this time I e-mail and get a response a day later. I ask if he/she still has the parts car and get back, "Ya still got it but keep in mind I've gotta keep the car somewhat whole 'cause I'm gonna run it in a demo derby" AAARRRGH!! So I says to diaper-cookie "I'd like to meet up with you to see what you've got and maybe trade some of my body parts and interior and such... No response since!

Why bother to post on any for sale sight if you don't want to sell anything :sly:

Uhg...and don't use Eagles for a Demo Derby...it wouldn't pass regulations for most anyway. Most 4x4s and Jeeps etc. aren't allowed in derbies.

to be honest I have no problems seeing an eagle in a derby cause well it is awesome to root for them (hell even the mythbusters couldn't slice one in half). alot of times when a car is placed in a derby it is ither rotten to the point where no one really wants to put the time money and effort into making it safe to be on the roads again OR there is no title or has other title problems. I just wish people would be smarter about stripping them out and selling or giving off the parts they have no use for so pieces of the car can live on

Couldn't agree more, as long as the salvage parts are being redistributed, mind as well go out in a blaze of glory.

I wouldn't be surprised if some get entered into the truck class due to being 4x4.

all the eagles i have seen in derbys have had the transmissions replaced, or transfer cases removed. if you have no shaft to the front axle the car is no longer 4wd

this one actually ended up turning out to my advantage. Went and saw this person yesterday and picked up a few parts in trade for a carburetor. I managed a few need parts as well as some extras.
