I'm having my buddy who's a super talented artist design our logo, but he needs more forms of inspiration.

What kind of things should I tell him? Things like what's iconic about amc cars(mainly eagles), what the evolution things means to us, maybe an 80's theme. Stuff like that.

What kinds of things do you guys think about when you think of AMC's, Eagles, and AMC Evolution?

Any sorts of images you think would help too are definitely welcome!

Also here's my email draft so far

So one point of reference is the 1980's which the car was made in.

We have a forum about most all amcs, but mainly focused on the eagle.

all have some images and advertising of the car.

GTA Vice city had a kind of 80's feel to it

The evolution part I don't know what the fuck that's about. I guess it's basically we're taking this car and keeping it alive for 30+ years when the company that made it doesn't even exist anymore, and jeeps(made by the same company) are prevalent and popular.

Things that are iconic about this car are first off that's it's a big fucking 4x4 car, there's not many of them, like subarus are all wheel drive, but don't go offroad as well as our cars. Another is the god awful wood panelling and interiors.

I think the grill is also kinda iconic http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6095/6279 ... 39ac_z.jpg

A professional mechanic I know always tells me the Sport Grille, fog lamps and higher stance, coming at you is what makes the car stand out. He loves the look of the Eagle Sport from the front. He adds that it has an intimidating look. IMO one thing AMC usually got right was the grille treatments of most of their cars, even on a shoestring budget.

Kind of this look:

Yeah that's great. Do you have or know of any pics that display this well?

I just added it to my previous post. A good photo shop user can get rid of the front plate and add the stripe and bumper colors in place of it. And probably lose the background clutter.

Yeah he's a really good illustrator so if we went with that as inspiration he could draw it all out and make it look nice as a logo.

 how about take a hornet sportabout, have it evolving into a eagle then involve into a lifted eagle.
could be done with another body style also. maybe an sx4 or kamback

a tractor dealership used that for one of their advertisements

Could also have an SX/4 morphing into a Stationwagon.
