Ok, maybe once in a while if I'm in the V8 car, and am in the right mood, I'll partake in a 0-60 jaunt  . A back road rip is a different story though  , in that case, I speed too, hahaha. Gotta test at all engine speeds in all gears for flat spots, ping, lags, or boggs  .

85+, ran out of speedometer, behind a corvette during a classic car cruise. Course was closed, but the driver was not a professional. 2.35's make for nice cruising.

i have to say i like hitting the loud pedal to the floor. i have beat a few ricers on the highway but most of them gave up before we even hit 65mph. as for the fastest i've had Eagle Eyes up to, 120mph  .

this must be the old man in me talking but I try to avoid anything that'll give me a ticket and tarnish my spotless driving record, those kids that rev and treat every traffic light as a drag race tree are the same ones that I laugh at when they are sitting at the bus stop waiting for amtran a few weeks latter

 geezer, hahaha. Though I have to admit, I've calmed down a lot over the years, I was always lucky enough to not get caught. For the record the fastest I've had an eagle upto was about 90-95, I had a hell of a hill helping me  .

I've slowed down significantly since my Mustang years. Seems like I got pulled over all the damn time back then, luckily talked myself out of most of the tickets. But back in the day when I was less sane and/or carefree: driving on the wrong side of the roads, playing chicken with on-coming cars, driving at night with my lights off, etc.... you know, the good ole days!
I have never been the type to try to drag race off of lights, the only time I even hinted to doing so... I was sitting next to an on-duty cop at the light, rolled my window down and asked him if he wanted to race ;)
I usually am the one that laughs at people dragging at lights but in this case I just couldn't help myself.
Most of the time my speeding only is involved in the zones marked 35mph and under, also have been pulled over for bogus shit  !
When it comes to the Eagles, I tend to baby them.

ha! only time i have tried that in honeybadger, is in town in the 35mph zone. i can get to 35 long before the ricers. anything above that, i wont bother. and fastest i have had honey badger up to was about 90. that was all she had!!! o, and since then, theres a nasty blue cloud that appears behind it when it idles for very long. lol. hopefully this weekend pickin up a '93 4.0 to drop in till i get my stroker motor built. pull that 4.0 out and use the 4.2 in honeybadger now to build ANOTHER stroker motor for the station wagon. ;-) pair of strokers there ya go.
