This article was a laugh of a read, but then I started the tally on my 84 sedan...... ... ter-index/

What's your beater status?

145 was red's total :holyshit: :lmao: (no joke, I even went easy on it, telling myself it's better than it really is, lol).

I got 175 points, but only because of the parts from concords, Jeep, Ford, etc., that I've had to put on Flicker.

Oof! 141 on Brown Betty and it doesn't even look that bad!

E factor = 0 (for me. My wife however would give it a ten)

Daily Driver = 0 until I sell my Comanche which will be after I clean out the garage I rented and haul the stuff to my cabin and get started on my Honcho. I need to change the AW4 in the MJ as well (cooked it last year then the trans cooler imploded and soaked the ATF with antifreeze)

Dents Don't matter = 5 points since that bimbo creamed my driver's door. I don't care as much when I open it but watch out for the others.

Orphan brand = 1 point, plus 10 points for pre '85 (almost got the French points because they owned a portion of AMC by then)

Old enough to drive itself = 5 points

Beer Bellies And Soggy Bottom Boys = 10 points for when I got it, but it's lifted now with no rear shocks, so?

Primer = zero unless you count a little dab here and there.

Four Speed Stick / 3 Speed Auto = 5 points (would be 10 but I replaced the trans with a 727, yet my low range isn't hooked up yet. Hmmm...)

The Technicolor Dream Coat Paint Job = zero. Only 2 tones until I change the driver's door which looks the same. At least at night or 100 feet away.

Doors = 10 points. Driver's side rear from the inside and out and Pass front outside handle is broken.

Windows = 10 points but the Pass front needs lubing to work. Driver's rear doesn't even make noise. I fixed driver's side just before being hit so I never put the inner panel back on.

Big Old Detroit Iron = 5 points

Ol’ Redneck Truck = zero points since it's not quite a truck but was registered as one for emissions.

The ‘Memories’ Car = 10 points (I hear it a lot! I also stop whenever I see another)

The Followed Car = 5 points (I was told I hit and ran with my door after someone was hit by a red car)

The ‘What is That?’ Car = 10 points

The Scrapper Saver = 10 points (I saved it twice. No transmission shops would touch it for less than $3,000 and no junkyards had a replacement that would fit. Not even the Jeep yards full of Grand Wagoneers. They said the 727 was longer than the 998!)

The Duct Tape, Thumbtacked, Staple Gunned Car = 20 points (New ceiling put in with screw thumbtacks and staples with duct tape holding up the cruise control from the factory and wirehanger on the muffler) On the tacks, was that per tack or ?

Thirteen Inch Wheels = zero points although 15" are getting harder to find.

Bathroom Floormats = 10 points (in the rear hatch to keep parts from sliding around)

Broken Antenna = 5 points (coathanger should be a bonus point)

Old School Features = 10 points for AM only radio (now AM/FM cassette)

The Steenkin’ Lincoln Factor = I want to give it 10 points because people shy away from it in traffic, but I can't.. Not that scary.

The Mismatched Syndrome = mega points! Trans, Tcase, distributor, tires and wheels, Ford battery, radiator from an AMX
