Yup, SX/4's and Kammbacks were classified, in those days, as subcompacts. I wonder what they would be considered these days?

Dammit, everytime I watch a link to some random eagle video on You Tube, I end up spending an hour or two watching more eagle videos. :sly:

So you are to blame for that video. I've watched it a few times, couldn't figure out why the car was drove into the mud hole. I originally thought the video was made by some punk kids screwing around

Only one punk kid screwing around. Yeah, Jared & I are never gonna let lil' Pat live that one down. I came round the corner, saw the pit, & knew even I wasn't making it through, so I stopped & started looking for a way around. Next thing I see is Pat driving right up to the edge looking all gung-ho, Jared trying desperately to get out before he went in. Needless to say, it was an entertaining evening, & I'd do it all over again.

Yup, got a few days left before the cottage is handed over to the new owners, then I can focus on vehicles. Though hopefully Pat's learned his lesson on mud holes, so I won't be dragging him out of his youthful enthusiasm again.

Pat is to blame for creating a 'recordable moment', and I'm to blame for recording the event, and posting it.

In the video, you can hear me saying, "I wouldn't do it, Pat!" a few times. I almost had to beg him to let me out before going in.

I mean look at the edges of that mud hole, it ain't a nice smooth slope coming in and out, and the sides are almost vertical. I have no idea what he was thinking, when he thought he could attempt it.

Anything after that, we were just trying to get thru the end of the day. I didn't record the rest of the driving around the park, or over-heating of the car later on (the rad was clogged with mud) and going for late dinner while the car cooled down.

Or finally finding a 24 hr. self-serve car wash around 1:30 am, so we could clean out the fins.
