the us top gear tortured a postal jeep with a 258, they drained the oil out of the engines, and substituted with different lubricants. not surprisingly, the 258 won that challenge and beat a Honda and Mercedes benz diesel.

I would have bet on the Jeep knowing that my son's ex-GF drove hers with brake fluid, oil/water/antifreeze mixed (used oil no less), hydraulic oil, 80/90W, some of the sulfur cutting oil for my band saw (which surprisingly stopped the oil consumption till she seized it. Cooled it off and drove it again) No waterpump AND a Fram filter (which finally killed it)

I watched that episode and I was laughing my ass off when I saw that jeep and heard what they had to do because I knew that jeep would win. the sad part is that it was still running after the last challenge was completed and it had gone over one hundred miles without the water pump through and near the Mojave desert during the summer.
I have been watching old episodes of the cartoon series static shock and in the episode brother sister act static's sister drives a Gremlin.
