I am helping a friend of mine, Keith to fix up his '58 Jeep FC-170. Also, He is taking a regular single cab (two seats) and he's added another single cab behind it, and is creating a quad cab.

UPDATE: I have 7 videos of our progress (in order 1-7):

Been following this! Hadn't seen the Part 5 yet though. Still a ways to go, but looks like a cool project!

Awesome! I just put part 5 up last night.

we were a bit stalled on working on it the last few weekends. I personally needed a break from it, we also spent two weekends setting up a 30 gallon fish tank for Keith.

I managed to support the pillar area between the passenger's door latch, and the hinges for the back passenger door.

Part 6 is going up tonight, as of this post, it will be up in about 90 minutes.

We missed working on the jeep for 3 weekends. 2 because Keith went away on Vacation, and last weekend, just 'cause we had no motivation.

i been following that build also. looks like it will be awsome. you lengthening the frame also for the full length bed or shortening it up?

watching what you guys are doing, makes me feel like i can fucker up my casper car! :lmao: i have never done rust repair like that, but i got to do a bunch on casper. (my 62 classic 2 door) the "chevy" guru at work came by my house and looked at the rust issues. hes pushing me to cut out the entire front clip, and install a subframe from an f-body. "modern suspension, lots of brake upgrades ect" he keeps saying. hell, i already got big mustang brakes on it. i love the ride it has. just got to rebuild the entire section under the windshield. lol.

I don't 100% remember what Keith said, but IIRC, I think we are moving some of the mounts and might shorten the bed.

That's not a bad idea, there's junkyard 12" rotors you can slap on there then (IE cop car impala brakes), plus if you don't want to be accused of mulletizing your rambler, you can always say it's an "X" body sub frame, most woodchucks wouldn't catch on that the x and f body shared the same one :lmao: .

I've just updated the first post for the latest videos (instead of posting all the links everywhere).

1 thru 7 is there.
