I mentioned this in Juhap's Matador Thread, but thought a new How To Thread could be started. What brought this about is how SX/4 and Kammback rear bumper caps are almost as rare as Hen's Teeth and that other AMC parts suppliers feel replicating them as they were would be cost prohibitive. They all know about Rambler Mentality.

Anyway, Juhap's great work with his glass bumpers prompted me to request a How To on how to make molds to replicate parts in fiberglass. I did find this how to http://www.hotrod.com/howto/60478_fiberglass_install/ but I bet the folks here can add their own experiences and tips to make life easier for us fiberglass novices. I only have one set of good endcaps left and I really want to know what I am doing before proceeding to make new sets to share with others.

One of my end caps is wonky, I'd love to replace it. The other is fine.

Ask Regal the condition of the ones from her Eagle, might be good enough to get ahold of to use as templates/molds.
