Howdy all,

Bought a 94 Cherokee (XJ) for the drive train and I want to haul off as many parts as I can for the Eagle. The XJ is pretty gutted but I do know there are some things that can carry over.

Parts that come to mind quickly that can be used are :

wiper arms
steering box for a better turning radius?
steering wheel

Rear axle is an upgrade if the ratio works. Are you using the XJ trans? EFI?

Using the motor, transmission and t-case, plus the swag OBD1 and all that entails.

The rear axle doesn't have a cap on it, so it might be toast. The interior is gutted so there's not much to choose from.

Things I'm reusing from the XJ to the Eagle :

drivetrain (engine, trans,t-case)
speakers
seat belt locks
windshield wipers
rearview mirror

The wheels if wanted...dont forget the trans controller so you can have cruise controll in the eagle again mabey the transfer case shifter and linckage. Does the bunper have a push bar? could use that...fuel pump in the tank if good. Keep the exhaust pipe....good to use to assemble your own exhaust off the header and back. You will need a bit of curvey pipe...lol. Mabey the trans cross member.(not sure) Gas line off the xj...if your want to use it on the eagle...(I just use the steel lines on the eagle myself)...Fuel filter and filter hose ends off xj. Mabey keep the drive shafts too.

I plan to use the whole fuel tank in my Eagle wagon if I get to the swap. This vertigo is kicking the crap out of me.

Maybe keep the wheels if they're not too offset either way.

The wheels are correct offset unless aftermarket. I would look into the rear axle for swapping.

I brought my own wheels to the deal. 2 spares from Eagles lol...damn things went flat so it's driving on the rims in the front. I can snag any Jeep rims locally, usually $5-10 a piece.

So far it looks like I'll be salvaging :

engine
transmission
t-case
transmission crossmember/mount
rear axle
speakers
possibly the steering wheel

Debating on trying to make the stock XJ fan system work. Going to attempt to transplant the A/C that's on it into the Eagle (which had AC).

The offset XJ fan was a tough fit in full size Jeeps. I think it would wipe out the battery and tray in an Eagle.

I'll either notch the tray or move the battery a bit to accomodate.
