2014 brings new ownership to the SX/4. Not to fret, it went to a good home, in fact, it never left it's current address. The miss decided that I should have it, she gave it to me as a christmas/birthday present. It's funny, when it was hers, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with/to it, now that it's mine, I'm torn, I've thoughts of dropping it, making it 2wd, throwing a 4.0 and ax15 at it....The conservative side says leave it alone, leave it an Eagle, but yet, why? It will never see a situation where it needs 4wd, so why move the excess weight around? I have no plans to sell it, so again it's value really means nothing to me. It would be just as enjoyable whether it has an extra drive axle or not, but would it still be fair to call it an SX/4? By switching it to 2wd, I mean it would be nothing more than a bolt in solution, (trans, front cradle from another small body amc, and sua rearend) the 4wd floors would remain intact, untouched, as to retaining the possibility to easily switch back. The other part of me says, leave the t-case where it is, lower it and up the power, make it more of an awd sports car.
Decisions, decisions, what ever I decide to do with the car, it will see the road again in 2014

Just my opinion, but it sure would suck to see such a nice SX/4 get turned into a Spirit. Would rather see you put your dreams into a Spirit. I know it's your car and all and you've put a lot of time into it, but man. You and max should have swapped. He could have the SX4 and he wouldn't have had to build Spirit of the Eagle! :)

Thought of doing something like that to Kammy.
Let it sit low Stroker with and super charge..I wanted a Sand runner style vehicle for a long time.
Sit low but have lot of wheel travel..

mmmmmm turbo 4.0, lol that would be sweet! or maybe just say screw the sixer and go 401

Like I said rafe, any mod I do (if I even chose to) will be a bolt in deal, it could always be changed back with no evidence of the stray. So if I ever chose to sell the car, it would go in stock form.

Man, it was so easy to dream up ideas when the car wasn't mine, now, I have no fawkin clue what I want to do with it, other than, I know I want to drive it in the nice season, and I know I want to enjoy it. This year it will likely remain as an Eagle (due to funds), but a hotrod spirit with awd does sound rather appealing......Just think, a lowered sx/4, a snailed 401, an ax15, and the option of awd on dry pavement would make for the ultimate fun machine in my mind, lol. (pipe dream, $$$$$$$$ required).
