The nice thing about the sx/4 tanks is that you don't have to drop the tank to remove the sender/pickup unit. So as long as you have a pump that fits in the small hole, you can keep that feature.

So this gives you an idea of what went wrong with my engine, haha.. Too much slack in the 90k mile timing chain, stretches until it hits.

I was under the impression all Eagles had plastic toothed gears.

New problem.. My driver side door handle doesn't work, I tried to fix it today. It seems like the small clip on the bottom half of the linkage rusted and broke. What can I do to restore my handle to working order? Can I buy those tiny pieces somewhere? Anyone have one they can sell me?

This little clip. This is the top one that connects to the handle. The one that connects the opposite side of the linkage to the door mechanism is the one that broke.

This metal linkage is also pretty fucked. I tried bending it back to the right shape, however it's very weak at this point. I may try heat treating it to get it back to working order, but I'm fairly certain it's going to break if I put it back in.

If anyone has a spare linkage with the clips, please let me know. Or if there is an easy fix for this. I'd really prefer if I didn't have to completely dismantle my door to fix this.. :soapbox:

Jeep Wrangler 1/2 door handles are the same as ours and everyone says it's a much better material than our original pot metal handles.
I'll eventually get some myself when mine decide to break.

There's also this on Eddie's site:

Do new handles come with the linkage and clips?

I don't believe they do. But maybe someone can chime in that has actually bought some of these.
I keep mine pretty lubed up that's probably why mine haven't broken yet.

The new handle I bought didn't come with clips, screws or even threaded holes on the backside. The clips are available in various sizes shapes and LH or RH config on the "HELP!" rack.
