Thank you, thank you, it's good to be back. Thankfully, being Canadian Tire (& female :smh: ), customers won't be expecting too much of me. But, it's a foot in the parts door, & that's more than anyone else was willing to give me!

Congratulations on the new job! So does the "customer is always right" rule apply at those stores?

Thanks! Sadly yes, it does, but we are given a teensy bit of wiggle room, especially given that it's more oft than not farmers wives (sent in with merely "He told me to get a bulb for the truck. I don't know, it's just the old farm truck." ) or old farmers ("Well, it's a spark plug for the truck. No, the tractor. Well, now, maybe it was a bulb? No, it was definitely an oil filter"). Got a small handful of city folk, the kind that haven't quite figured out how to use the self-help guide books to look up what filter/bulb/etc they need for their car. :smh: Ah well, put a smile on, be as respectful & helpful as I can, & gripe/laugh about it on break.

At least there's now one Canadian Tire location confirmed to have an employee behind the counter who knows what an AMC is. I've been to at least three different Calgary locations where I've been met with vacant stares and people thinking I actually meant GMC somethingorother or Eagle Talon.

Which they really shouldn't, if they pick the right year, the computer does show "AMC Eagle" (or is it "American Motors Eagle"? long day, don't remember), then lists Eagle 4wd, & either Eagle Talon (if the 87/88) or just Eagle 4wd.

Oh gods, I have this sudden vision of my Canadian brethren calling CT Yorkton to get parts numbers for their Eagles & AMXs. :speedy:
