Hey maddog I have a favour to ask of you. I am really interested in that skid plate you found, i have never seen one before. Would you be able to get me a pic of how it fits under the eagle? I was thinking if I knew how it fit I might be able to make one myself. Like I said I have never seen one before. I cant think of where it would bolt up to. Either that or what eagle came with the plate on. Just the sx? Some of the logging trails I go down max out the eagle's ground clearance and some protection would be good.

I am off work tomorrow so I should be able to get some pictures for you. oh and I pulled the one I have off of an 83 wagon.

amchornet i'm sorry but I was unable to get those pictures for you today because the brake job on Eagle Eyes took a lot longer than I had planned for it too. however I am supposed to get off work tomorrow at 11am so I should be able to get them after I get home.

so if I understand that right, it is only mounted to what appears to be a brace? and from the location, it looks like it is behind the sheet metal that is behind the bumper and in front of the axle? I cant remember how the eagle is layed out exactly right now.

yeah it uses two u-bolts to hold it up to the two tubes that are bolted on just behind the front valiance. the other four bolts go into the cross member which already has the holes in it they just need to be tapped.

I used a couple of u-joint clamps from a 2000 something f350.
